Catherine Weng is an artist practicing in Sydney. Weaving fragmented, adapted forms to produce tension, her practice is a speculative extension of the internal body: the body in flux. Through painting and textiles, microscopic speculative bodily forms are abstracted to construct internal spaces. By adapting and recombining these forms, she aims to extend our understanding of what the body might be: not fixed or stable, but constantly transforming and open to the world.
